What do I expect on our first visit?

On your first visit you will meet your groomer.  They will assess your pet and provide more detail as to the process of the grooming procedure.

You are also required to fill out our intake forms before arrival to save time in the booking process.  Please either sign and bring these forms with you, or email them back with the proper documentation.  All vaccinations require proof and we will not accept any animal that does not provide adequate evidence.  You will also be charged as per our late cancellation policy if documentation is not provided upon arrival.  Download the forms on your "my account" page or below.

How often should I groom my pet? Cut the nails?

The AKC recommends between 4-8 weeks depending on breed, coat, and lifestyle.  But remember, brushing is essential every week.

Nails can be cut every 2-4 weeks.

Can I wait for my pet?

We understand the strong and loving bond you and your pet have.  When an animal is in a new situation, they often want to be near their owner for protection and reassurance.  For the groomers safety, and your pets safety, we ask that you do not wait for your pet during the grooming process.  You can be reassured your pet is loved and well cared for in our facility.  You will be contacted when your pet is ready for pick up.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes, based on availability.  It is always recommended to book online or call the store for an appointment.

What is the Dematting & Depelting Policy?

At Just for Paws we emphasize humanity over vanity.  We want your pet to be groomed in a safe, stress free environment.  If your animal's coat is too matted, tangled, pelted or otherwise un-salvageable, there will be an additional charge based on the condition and time of service.  The groomer will make every attempt to save the coat unless instructed to by the client, or the coat requires removal for the animals health.  Dematting and depelting is a very dangerous exercise and is left to the discretion of the professional groomer.

What is the late and cancellation policy?

Just for Paws has a 24 hour cancellation policy.  If you cancel within 24 hours there is a $50.00 cancellation fee which will be applied to your next booking.  If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment or try to cancel the day of grooming, you will be charged 100% of the grooming fee which must be paid before you book again. (*This does not apply during December or families with multiple dogs.  You will be charged at the discretion of the groomer*)

The late policy is an additional $10.00 per 10min upon late arrival or late pick up after the store closes.  Make sure to arrive ahead of time.  Your groom begins at the scheduled time.

We do not except cancellations by social media, email.  It must be done through your online account or by speaking to the groomer directly.

Do you accept aggressive pets?

We do our best to never turn away an animal.  We understand that the grooming process can be overwhelming.  However, for the safety of the groomer and the pet, we do not accept aggressive animals.  If your pet becomes aggressive during the groom, and we are unable to finish, the client will be charged the full price of the groom.

If your pet is temperamental during the procedure, there may be an additional charge based on the extra time and care needed
